Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Area of Focus: AWS Cloud Optimization: Resources Utilization, Security Findings and Remediations
EISAI’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Intern will learn to review, analyze, and recommend optimization approach to enhance overall cloud infrastructure services while reducing overall cost of ownership of all Cloud services and maintaining the cloud environment secure and protected from internal and external security threats. Moreover, in this role, the intern will have the opportunity to learn Infrastructure as a Code practices while helping to transition legacy and manual deployed cloud workload to Terraform code.
Additionally, the intern will be exposed to learn method to re-platform legacy solutions to Cloud Native services while we look to extend the migration of additional applications from on-premises to the cloud.
What You'll Do
- Work with Cloud Architects and Engineers to determine cloud optimization opportunities, analyze resource utilization stats, identify overutilized resources, provide and implement recommendations to enhance the delivery of cloud services.
- Work with Cloud Security engineer and operation resources to identify critical security items impacting the cloud ecosystem and work with BRMs and ITSOs to schedule time to remediate the security findings.
- Complete review and analysis of all deployed Cloud Services to identify manually deployed services. Collaborate with Cloud Engineers to transfer the manually deployed services to Terraform Code
- Work with the Datacenter Operation Team and collaborate with ITSOs and BRMs to identify legacy applications that can be re-platformed and migrate to the cloud
- Work with Cloud and Infrastructure teams to become familiar with routine Cloud, Datacenter and Overall infrastructure Operation Management
- Work on special projects as assigned, including new Cloud Service Deployment and adoptions of GenAI in Cloud Operations.
