As a Climate Solutions Engineer at SINAI, you’ll play a pivotal role in connecting our innovative Climate Team, Sales Team, and prospective customers. Reporting directly to the Director of Climate and Customer Success, this hybrid position combines technical sales support with climate expertise to guide our prospects and customers through their sustainability journeys. Beyond the sales cycle, you’ll have the chance to directly contribute to our Climate Team’s mission to empower businesses to achieve their sustainability goals. Responsibilities

Sales Support

  • Serve as domain expert on SINAI’s carbon accounting and decarbonization software and service solutions to internal team members and external prospects
  • Own and manage the SINAI platform demo environments, process, and execution
  • Develop and present tailored product demos that address the specific needs and use cases of prospects, utilizing your in-depth technical product and climate change knowledge
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospects, fostering professional relationships and providing technical insights during the sales process
  • Stay informed on climate regulations and market trends to provide insights throughout the sales journey
  • Respond to technical questions and support the sales team with RFI, RFP, and RFQ submissions or other evaluations of the platform from a technical perspective
  • Assist in providing training and creating training materials and supporting documentation for the sales team to enhance product knowledge and sales efficiency
  • Support Client Services/Sales team in exploring impact and requirements of customer-requested enhancements, identifying upside potential of development for expansion opportunities, and work with product team to determine associated costs and timelines for deployment
  • Communicate customer and prospect feedback to Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to improve the product, sales, and customer experience
  • Share customer insights to prospects and collaborate on product development to better address market needs
  • Support handovers from sales to customer success by sharing account background, desired use cases, and supporting customer onboarding
  • Proactively contribute to internal projects aimed at refining processes and developing best practices, leveraging your climate knowledge to improve technical features, enhance in-platform calculations, and optimize product usabilit

Note that this is a sales-support first role with rotational potential to support in delivering climate services, customer onboarding, and customer account management.

Customer Relationship Manager

  • Maintain primary account ownership for selected customers, addressing specific needs through proactive communication and tailored guidance.
  • Monitor customer’s KPI’s and account health, ensuring customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities to enhance the value proposition and optimize services
  • Lead customer onboarding, offering strategic climate insights and supporting the correct configuration of SINAI’s platform
  • Train customers on SINAI’s SaaS platform for carbon accounting and emissions reduction
  • Resolve complex customer concerns with technical and strategic solutions to ensure satisfaction and long-term success
  • Ensure projects are implemented on time, coordinating closely with clients and internal teams to meet deadlines and deliverables


Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of technical sales-related experience in consulting and/or SaaS
  • 1-2+ years of experience in carbon accounting, decarbonization or sustainability-related roles
  • Familiarity with GHG Global Protocol carbon accounting standard, or similar carbon accounting framework, sustainability reporting and regulations
  • Advanced analytical, data, and strategic skills to design impactful solutions for prospects and customers
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with comfort in autonomous decision making
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for continuous learning
  • Ability to multi-task on several projects at the same time
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and clearly present complex data
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote, early-stage environment with relatively little supervision
