Join our dynamic team as a Business Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in driving business success through data-driven insights and strategic analysis.
As a Business Analyst and Reporting Specialist within our internal teams, you will be tasked with establishing relationships, facilitating communication, conducting comprehensive data analysis, generating reports, and spearheading process improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle tax reclaim rejections with the Tax Authority accurately and timely within the stipulated window.
- Prepare reconciliations across markets where reclaims are filed with sub-custodians.
- Liaise with Tax Authorities globally via email or physical letter to respond to reclaim rejections.
- Update and present key metric information to management, ensuring 100% accuracy in processing daily and monthly deliverables.
- Send regular chasers to tax authorities or sub-custodians to obtain reclaim statuses and update core processing applications with transaction statuses.
- Suggest continual improvements to enhance processes, reduce manual intervention, and work to strict and tight deadlines.
- Assist with the development of new processes or controls, ensuring they are clearly documented and communicated, while raising and escalating issues to resolution and highlighting risks with mitigation options.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with accounting and taxation background with 3 years of experience.
- Chartered Accountant 2 years or equivalent degree.
- Enthusiastic and articulate with excellent communication and written skills with clear, concise & logical documentation ability.
- Must be able to maintain and operate in an environment of high standards of risk and control.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with conflicting priorities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as collaborate, partner and work in a team environment.
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong data management and problem-solving skills.
