Position Summary:

The principal responsibilities of this position include recruitment of new clients, retention of current clients, contract negotiations, career guidance and overall management for Octagon Football clients

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Recruit new clients and lead the negotiation of player contracts, at both the NCAA and NFL level;
  • Manage current clients and provide skilled services to them;
  • Generate new revenue for the football division;
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client opportunities and/or needs;
  • Liaise with client sponsors;
  • Expand contacts, especially within the football industry;
  • Travel as needed in the performance of job responsibilities;
  • Other related duties as reasonably assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • NFLPA Agent Certification;
  • 3+ years of experience managing NFL players;
  • Understanding of the NFL Salary Cap and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA);
  • Strong sales and marketing skills;
  • Advanced negotiation skills;
  • Expertise in providing solutions;
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to use good business judgment and to make quick decisions in situations where discretion is required;
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team focused, environment;
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required;
  • Ability to travel as needed.
