Client Manager, Football
Position Summary:
The principal responsibilities of this position include recruitment of new clients, retention of current clients, contract negotiations, career guidance and overall management for Octagon Football clients
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Recruit new clients and lead the negotiation of player contracts, at both the NCAA and NFL level;
- Manage current clients and provide skilled services to them;
- Generate new revenue for the football division;
- Respond promptly and professionally to client opportunities and/or needs;
- Liaise with client sponsors;
- Expand contacts, especially within the football industry;
- Travel as needed in the performance of job responsibilities;
- Other related duties as reasonably assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- NFLPA Agent Certification;
- 3+ years of experience managing NFL players;
- Understanding of the NFL Salary Cap and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA);
- Strong sales and marketing skills;
- Advanced negotiation skills;
- Expertise in providing solutions;
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to use good business judgment and to make quick decisions in situations where discretion is required;
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team focused, environment;
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required;
- Ability to travel as needed.
