Job Summary
As a Client Data Specialist within our KYC/AML team, you will take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful relationships that deliver outstanding experiences to our customers. You will be responsible for understanding and implementing KYC standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures. You will handle and maintain confidential client documentation, collect and verify confidential client data, and review client data/processes to meet firm-wide quality standards. You will engage with the Middle Office and be part of KYC/AML interactions, offering a challenging and rewarding environment for growth and development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage own CAU Demographics screening book of work and oversee the process end to end.
- Work closely with stakeholders and potentially liaise with clients as required, to obtain all necessary supporting evidence to fulfill the screening process.
- Liaise regularly with the business to conduct workload planning, review the status of cases, and prioritize open requests.
- Interact frequently with key stakeholders such as Front Office, Compliance, Quality Control, and Relationship Partners to develop strong partnerships, eliminate roadblocks, and ensure continuity of information flow across the groups.
- Manage personal workload and priority items and ensure timely escalation of key risks/issues to management.
- Research and obtain the screening demographics evidence by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and validity, incorporating multiple risk factors in compliance with global regulatory requirements.
- Keep informed of any changes to processes and procedures, regulatory change, and ensure open verbal dialogue with colleagues and counterparts.
- Identify and execute process improvements, provide guidance and support on key process and technology initiatives to the business.
- Maintain a globally agreed quality pass rate for demographics information reviewed by Quality Control.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Possess knowledge of KYC with at least 2 years' experience (Audit, Control, Risk, AML, and Research may also be areas of experience).
- Hold a university degree or equivalent.
- Possess knowledge of different screening types (i.e., PEP, Negative Media, Sanctions, etc.).
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in conflict resolution.
- Possess strong time management, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Exhibit a quality-focused work ethic and strong controls mindset.
- Adapt to work in an evolving and changeable environment.
- Proactively manage and drive forward own career, identifying personal training needs for development.
