What it’s like to be a Northbridge Claims Technical Specialist, Specialty Claims

As a Claims Technical Specialist you will be part of a dynamic team that prides itself on having a sharp eye on detail while keeping the customer experience top of mind.  The Technical Specialist will be part of our Specialty Claims team and will be responsible for providing efficient and prompt investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of moderately complex casualty and litigation claims.  The Specialty Claims team is responsible for Class Actions, E&O, D&O, Abuse, Surety, Cyber, and Bad Faith claims.

We want your talent

If you’re great at:

• Handling complex CGL claims of a sensitive nature

• Completing coverage analysis

• Investigating liability and damages

• Evaluating exposures and negotiating

• Effectively managing a busy day to day schedule

• Providing a great Customer experience

And if you have:

• Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance focused program or related program

• Completed or working towards the CIP designation

• Minimum 7-10 years of Casualty and Litigation Claims adjusting experience.

• Familiarity with applicable case law, arbitration decisions and provincial legislation.

• Familiarity in establishing and monitoring litigation disposition plans.

• Ability to clearly communicate with Claimants, Brokers, and Legal Counsel.
