Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer II to be based in Hagatna, Guam.

This position is contingent.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced licensed engineer.

• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests.

• Proposes approaches to solve problems

• Identifies discrepancies in results.

• Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.

• Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

• Prepare design plans (plan views, profiles, sections, and details) within Autodesk Civil 3D.

• Present design solutions to AECOM project teams.

• Capable of working independently or within a design team

• Collaborate with other team members.

• Excellent communication skills with project team, partners, agencies, and clients.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to visit project sites or clients if public transportation is not available.  Selected candidate will undergo a Motor Vehicle Records review. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experienced with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam

• Engineer In Training Certification

• Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Arc GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models

• Previous work experience with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies involved in design, construction, or management of Water Resources, Site Development, Transportation, Stormwater, Wastewater or other general civil-related projects.

This position requires a work schedule which includes in office work in Hagatna, Guam.  The selected candidate must be available to work in Hagatna, Guam on a scheduled basis.
