We are in search of a Cisco Unified Collaboration Engineer (Voice Engineer) to join our team at MacDill AFB, FL. The Cisco Unified Collaboration Engineer provides full-spectrum support for voice, video, and unified communications solutions within a secure, mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) environment. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) clusters, Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Unity Connection, Expressway, and related collaboration technologies. The engineer will support operational continuity for the warfighter by ensuring secure, resilient, and interoperable communications across garrison and tactical networks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Cisco Unified Communications (UC) infrastructure including CUCM, Unity Connection, Cisco IM & Presence, CMS, and Expressway C/E.
- Configure and maintain SIP trunks, H.323 gateways, SRST, CUBE, and MGCP configurations for integration with DISA or tactical voice networks.
- Manage dial plans, route patterns, translation rules, calling search spaces, and device pools across secure and non-secure enclaves.
- Administer and troubleshoot collaboration endpoints, Jabber clients, TFTP services, and user provisioning via LDAP integration.
- Conduct patching, upgrades, and STIG compliance for all collaboration platforms in accordance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Support VTC operations including scheduling, endpoint support, and bridging through CMS or hardware MCUs.
- Integrate collaboration services with Active Directory, PKI/certificate authorities, and DNS for secure authentication and service delivery.
- Provide Tier III escalation support and mentor junior team members on UC technologies.
- Participate in exercises and mission planning efforts to align collaboration capabilities with MARCENT operational requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience. Additional experience, trainings, or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain TS/SCI after hire.
- Cyber Work Force Role Code 451 (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications systems in a DoD, government, or enterprise environment.
- Experience with DoD UC compliance efforts including STIG implementation, ACAS scans, and RMF documentation.
- Proficiency in Cisco IOS, VoIP call flow troubleshooting, and SIP/H.323 protocol analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI
- Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies and configuration.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge and experience deploying multiple Virtualization technologies, including Microsoft’s Hyper-V, Microsoft Virtual Server, VMWare ESX, and VMWare Server.
- Familiarity with firewalls and their services and security.

Pay Range:Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
