Job Description

  

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

The purpose of this position is to become the expert of a newly launched product.  The individual would assist in developing marketing campaigns, prospecting for new customers, demonstrate and train customers on targeted new products.   This position will work directly and personally with these marketing, sales representatives or dealers and clients with the intent of successfully launching a new product. This position will work in coordination with the existing Rep/Dealer organization and/or provide direct client support as determined by corporate management. This position, working within the framework of the overall sales/marketing organization, will develop and manage all aspects of the accounts until such time as these accounts are transferred to regional sales managers; or are managed jointly between the Global Sales Manager, Product Manager or Sales Representative.

Results Expected:

The Chromatography Product Specialist will be responsible for:

Meeting or exceeding annual new product sales goals. Making good business decisions based upon a full understanding the strategic plan of the new product launch. Growing sales, market share and brand recognition by making sales, marketing and technical presentations to clients. Authoring or participating in the development and implementation of sales action plans designed to ensure achievement of marketing objectives and sales goals. Communicate with various departments within Teledyne ISCO to coordinate fulfilling sales commitments to clients. Providing quarterly analysis of sales and market trends. Reporting weekly on territory activities, demonstrations and installations. Arranging technical support to key beta and reference clients. Attending professional meetings, seminars and training sessions to further sales objectives of the new product. Traveling as needed, including internationally, to implement the success of the new product. Providing sales and technical assistance to Teledyne ISCO Representatives and Dealers as determined by the Teledyne Labs Global Sales Manager. Working in cooperation with local Sales Representatives to ensure clear communications and the efficient management of business. Developing an awareness and sensitivity to the social and business cultures of the various regions within which this position may work or communicate.
