Nitra offers physicians and medical clinics around the country cards, loans, accounts, payments, and expense management products they crucially need, in an all-in-one platform powered by machine learning technologies.
Nitra was created by unicorn founders who have successfully scaled to thousands of customers and exited $1B+ public offerings. They are joined by an ambitious and experienced team from American Express, Citi, PayPal, Capsule, Plaid, Bloomberg, Meta, Facebook, and Mastercard. The team is backed by some of the world's leading VCs (Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, etc.) and is supported by an expert group of advisors, including the cofounders of Square and Xendit, executives from Intuit, former Governors, White House senior staffers, and a co-founder of CityMD.
We're looking for
A Chief of Staff Associate to work closely with Tim Hwang, a serial entrepreneur and founder of multiple early stage startups including Nitra. You’ll provide critical support in strategy execution, project management, operational efficiency, and high-level operational support. This role offers unique exposure to Tim’s day-to-day across his portfolio and serves as both a strategic thought partner and operational right hand, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of high-priority initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Tim Hwang in managing strategic priorities and cross-functional projects across his portfolio of early stage startups
- Acting as a thought partner , identifying key challenges and opportunities
- Coordinating and driving execution of high-priority initiatives across teams
- Streamlining internal operations, creating efficiencies, and optimizing processes
- Preparing executive communications, board materials, and investor updates
- Conducting research, analyzing data, and providing insights to support decision-making
- Managing special projects that require executive oversight
- Handling administrative responsibilities, including calendar management, travel coordination, meeting preparation, and handling confidential communications
- Acting as a liaison between executives and internal/external stakeholders
You have:
- 2-4 years of experience in consulting, business operations, strategy, investment banking, executive support, or a high-growth startup environment
- Fluency in Korean is a major plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear and actionable insights
- Exceptional organizational skills, with experience managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel for executives
- The ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally with various teams
- A highly adaptable and entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus
- A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, with high attention to detail
