Job Summary:

FLIR Integrated Imaging Solutions (IIS), a division of Teledyne FLIR, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of machine vision digital cameras. Our cameras are vital components in the fast growing, transformative industries of robotics, autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, virtual reality and medical/life sciences.

We are looking for a customer-centric Channel Sales Manager who is passionate about technology and how it solves customer problems.  The successful candidate will be looking to accelerate their sales career by managing and growing our established distribution network. Detailed Description:

  • Grow existing distributors and other channel partners by fostering long-term relationships and ensuring customer needs are met
  • Together with the channel, identify and pursue new business development opportunities and establish FLIR as a preferred vendor for machine visions cameras
  • Build and execute a channel strategy and achieve assigned sales targets working with other departments, including other Sales members, the Product Management team, Support team, Engineering team, and Marketing team
  • Promote FLIR IIS Machine Vision products, support and guide customers, and build relationships with new and existing customers
  • Prepare and update weekly territory forecasts and budgets
  • Understand market trends & requirements through customer visits, trade shows, and new business development
  • Provide customers with product and technical information as required 
  • Manage interactions with customers via phone, email, and site visits; respond to inquiries, qualify opportunities, prepare quotes, and follow up with accounts accordingly

Requirements:

  • College degree (Engineering or Business preferred). A strong technical background is preferred.
  • 10 years of sales experience with at least 5 years managing channels, preferably in the machine vision industry
  • Superior persuasion and presentation skills 
  • Strong customer communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on responding promptly and meeting commitments made to customers
  • Excellent level of detail and ability to multitask and handle stress
  • Strong work ethic with positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn new things
  • Team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Verbal and written communication skill in English is a must
  • Ability to travel frequently in Western US to visit clients

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of the uses and technical capabilities of industrial digital cameras and/or experience in the Machine Vision Industry is an asset
  • Familiarity with hardware based sales and the Electronics, Manufacturing, or Robotics industries
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
