Job Description
Total IT Experience: 2-5 years
Relevant Change/Configuration Experience: 2-3 years
Day-to-Day Operation:
For all RFC’s impacting the NEC IT Customers
- Assess requests to ensure information provided is relevant and correct.
- Provide support to officers and groups to complete impact assessments.
- Assess Impact Assessments to complete risk assessments.
- Prepare for and assist the Change Manager in hosting CABs and follow up with suitable documentation.
- Maintain a Forward Schedule of Change
- Ensure scheduled outages are recorded.
- Co-ordinate with external NEC departments when appropriate
- Liaise with Change Owners where appropriate.
- Liaise with Customer Change Managers
- Complete a review of requests to ensure all relevant activities have been completed and documentation/information has been provided.
- Update and action all tasks and approvals assigned to the Change Management group within OLA.
- Be the primary point of reference for questions, suggestions and complaints for change & release.
- Analyse records and reports for trends or problems and look at improvements.
- Complete configuration activities to maintain the CMDB.
In addition, the Change Analyst may be asked to assist the CST Change Team with projects/changes affecting Managed Accounts when appropriate
Process Responsibilities:
- To maintain, improve and operate the Change Management process.
- To liaise with the Change Manager to support the Change processes
Scope:
- The Scope is further defined within the Corporate Change Management document suite.
- The Scope includes changes to all items maintained within the CMDB, including, but not limited to, any Software, Hardware, Documentation and Services that impact the delivery of CST customers
Logistics:
- Liaise with the support groups within the customer accounts to ensure that the necessary procedures are followed to deliver a seamless Change Management process.
- Ensure communication channels between Change, support groups and customers are clear to allow processes to operate effectively.
KPI’s:
- Assist the Change Manager with reporting as necessary.
Client Management:
- Provide, timely, feedback to CSMs and Customer contacts as necessary.
- Manage the internal relationship of other NEC groups and their Customer requirements with regard to Change Management
- Pro-actively apply best practice across all Accounts.
