The Change Analyst 2 is a key contributor on the Service Management team who makes an impact by governing and overseeing the IT Change Management process. This role is primarily responsible for the day-to-day activities related to change requests impacting the IT environment.  This position is an integral member of the Service Management team which is part of the larger Risk Management organization.

The Change Analyst 2 evaluates change requests that will impact the IT landscape and makes recommendations based upon the respective change’s adherence to policy, assessed risk, among other change criteria. This role also assists in driving the education and adoption of IT change best practices.

Your Responsibilities

As a Change Analyst 2, your job responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating change requests and ensuring IT readiness based on established policies and guidelines.
  • Recommending approval, modification, or denial of changes based on compliance with policies.
  • Ensuring all change requests include necessary details such as implementation plans, back-out plans, and testing results.
  • Collaborating with Problem Analysts to review both successful and unsuccessful changes.
  • Monitoring completed and pending changes, addressing unauthorized, outdated, or stale requests.
  • Participating in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and coordinating approvals for expedited changes.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating IT change policies to align with best practices.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or related field, from a four-year college or university, or a combination of equivalent education and/or work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as part of a Service Management and/or IT team managing the IT Change Management function.
  • Experience in one or more of the following technology areas desired:
  • ServiceNow ITSM module
  • Cloud computing technologies
  • Must be a self-starter and motivated to work with others to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer orientation, attention to detail, and excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration, open communication and reach across functional boundaries.
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Manager, IT Risk & Service Management. You will have 4 peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Change Analyst 2, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ. In October 2021, Choice opened a newly constructed world class technology center.
