Job Description:

The Chain Account Manager is responsible for building relationships with new and existing customers, achieving sales and profit goals, while helping our clients succeed. The Chain Account Manager develops and executes tactical and strategic business plans that facilitate the implementation of chain management plans. The Chain Account Manager also provides analytical support to one or more assigned accounts by monitoring syndicated consumer insight data, financial and business research, and account transactional data to uncover sales trends, investigate product demand and optimize merchandising strategies to discover sales opportunities.
Job Description:

  • Monthly meetings to drive performance, gap closing, and opportunities with each division across the company to grow business each and every month
  • Own the relationship with the customers and not rely on other people to do so
  • Develop new tools to help drive growth from the sales divisions to ensure the team has all the necessary information well in advance
  • Proactively able to manage the business to get ahead of any potential business challenges and notice clear opportunities to drive business
  • Directly works with customers to understand their needs, to influence their management practices and creates and makes presentations as needed in a sales capacity
  • Work with supplier partners to help drive key performance initiatives to grow our respective businesses.
  • Provides sales data analysis and reporting to customers which includes interpreting and disseminating results to customers and helping identify business opportunities.
  • Sells "Trade Marketing" concepts, philosophies and innovations to the retailer to drive sales performance.
  • Manages the allocation of resources and oversees performance to meet business goals through coaching and consultation.
  • Champion diversity initiatives to support innovation, inclusion, drive engagement, and career development/talent strategies.
  • Has detailed knowledge of distribution operations and operational opportunities. Is able to think strategically and communicate how specific operational issues may or should impact business relationships.
  • Provides counsel on issues (sales or operational); creates customized business solutions and recommendations.
  • Supports analytic projects from inception through completion; prioritizes and manages multiple projects.
  • Identifies and drives continuous improvement opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations.
  • Champions adopting new technologies to better perform job functions and to support the customer base.
  • Represents the department in cross-functional team-based activities and meetings with internal or external customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-year College Degree (preferred)
  • 3+ years of wine & spirits sales experience in a mostly retail chain environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, project management and analysis skills.
  • Strong experience completing multiple assignments that are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity in a given time period.
  • Skilled in solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to build reports for management using multiple system platforms to gather data.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and considered an advance user in MS Excel, internet applications
  • Ability to lead team members to resolve complex issues and mentor others on the team.
  • Highly skilled in coaching and consultation, development and execution of talent strategies, championing diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong business acumen, organizational understanding, analytical and critical thinking
  • Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Proven success in leading change management initiatives

The expected pay range for this role is $75,582-$115,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, labor markets, education, experience, certifications, etc. Johnson Brothers offers eligible team members and their dependents comprehensive health benefits and programs, which include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts.
