Role and Responsibilities:
- According to the production plan, identify the daily production status and inventory , establish detailed process plan by line and detailed process accordingly, and adjust the plan depending on unexpected situations.
- Provide technical direction for production operation, resolve the production- related issues with engineers by management on corrective action items.
- Control inventory and production speed by considering balance between lines and processes for smooth flow between processes
Skill and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10+ years experience in lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing
- Automotive background preferred
- At least 3 - 5 years in managerial or leadership role within production or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a global or multinational environment is preferr3ed, particularly for understanding diverse markets, compliance standards, and cross-cultural management.
- Experience in installing facilities, adjusting initial production conditions, ramp-up and stabilizing of mass production at a new site.
- Experience in establishing and sustaining effective KPI/metric-driven standards and governance
- High level of competency in team building, interpersonal relationship building
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring alignment with organization's goals and strategies.
- Preference for experience with databases and complex data analysis (SQL, Access, Macros, Tableau, Minitab, ERP/MR, etc.)
- Project management capabilities for designating personnel for improvement activities, track the progress, and technical review of solutions
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to lead process improvement roadmaps for each project in their region
- Create detailed project plan to track progress, effectively communicate that progress with key stakeholders and senior leaders
- Review technical opportunities and procedures of departments and recommend solution or changes
- Proficient in English communication
- Proficient DFMEA, PFMEA and Control Plan
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- All other tasks assigned
Nice to have but not a must:
- Strategic thinking for aligning production goals with limited resources
- Continuous improvement mindset, focusing on yield and operation rate
- CAD tools: AUTOCAD and CATIA are preferred
- Proficient in MES, SAP, PSC
- Utilization of PFMEA, DFMEA and Control Plan
