The CCM (cell culture media) Sales Specialist is responsible for performance management (order & sales) of CCM business, development and execution of strategies & action plans for more business opportunities and supporting cell culture products & cell culture technology. And the sales specialist is also responsible for providing spec-win activities (making Cytiva solution be part of customer’ selection as raw material in bioprocessing) for CCM products.  

This position will be responsible for management of overall growth & performance of CCM business as one among the most important market in bioprocessing industry.

This position reports to the RFM (Resin, Filter & Media) sales specialist & FAS team leader and is part of the department of Bioprocess & will be fully remote.

What you will do:

  • Accountable for performance and results of CCM business related to media, serum and liquid buffers.
  • Responsible for order & sales of CCM products for all accounts, development and execution of strategies & action plan to generate order, and submission of forecasting based on order & sales.
  • Primarily focus on CCM opportunities and supports all CCM products by providing information & knowledge in sales process with product expertise to the AM as well as independently identifying opportunities.
  • Provide high level product & technical expertise during pre-sales activities, demonstration, customer training, post-sales support, seminar & presentation, and promotional events. 
  • Provide spec-win activities supporting technology, knowledge & experience for use of more CCM products on overall upstream processing of customers.
  • Develop the sales of modality solutions in the assigned sales region/territory, establishing long lasting technical customer relationships.
  • Lead technical & product related discussions with customer and give applicative support including troubleshooting and answer customer queries of sophisticated technical and applicative nature.
  • Continuously develop a network of key decision makers. Build a territory business plan and set quarterly priorities to achieve defined business goals. Contribute to key account plans managed by the account management team. 
  • Build a strong internal network to drive maximum synergy and customer satisfaction across the business. Work effectively with internal functions, including other sales specialists, the account management team, marketing, finance, legal, service sales and customer service.

Who you are:

  • Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology with at least 5+ years field experiences in Bioprocess product management & application and research & development.
  • Preferred process development experiences with cell culture technology of small or large scale
  • Strong cell culture principle & technical knowledge
  • Proven ability to work globally and to influence and negotiate internally & with customers
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment, Multilingual (English & Korean)

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Language/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Fluent level of English & Korean in written and verbal communications 한국어 및 영어로의 서면 및 구두 의사소통능력이 높으신 분
  • Ability to travel abroad upon business needs 해외여행에 결격사유가 없으신 분
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record within territory or locations 운전을 하여 담당하는 국내 고객사에 방문할 수 있는 분
  • If foreign national, legal work permit is required to pursue employment contract by Korean immigration law 대한민국에서의 근무가 가능한 비자가 있는 분
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 24kg, any other physical requirements
     

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Process development of upstream in research & development center.
  • Cell culture experience using CCM products of manufacturing plant.
