Job Summary

The Category Strategy Planning (CSP) team is responsible for developing category growth strategies for each category Unilever plays in. Through fully integrated, shopper, customer and channel insights, category growth platforms are built to be deployed across the different Customers and Channels. The CSP Assistant is a key part of this team and actively contributes to the overall P&L delivery of the categories through supporting the relevant CSP Manager in delivering & executing optimal category growth strategies.

Role Responsibilities:

Shopper Activation Management

  • Manage execution of the NPD and Activation plan to ensure all activities are effectively executed across all channels.

  • Own and manage all NPD into market on time & in full, taking ownership across the total 26 week pre and post launch period.

  • Create and work within the set budget to deliver shopper activations across all channels throughout the year.

  • Creating tools for the Customer Teams to successfully sell in innovation to each retailer.

  • Be the lead and expert in Customer Marketing tools to effectively manage ROIs (POS, Path to Purchase).

  • Create execution plan for all relevant launches/brand activations by customer that is aligned with the category/brand teams. Lead and develop all execution materials for each customer.

  • Be the key link between CSP, Customer & Field, delivering relevant tools to ensure innovation objectives are achieved.

  • Build strong ANZ relationships to ensure NZ requirements are being prioritised.

Category Operations

  • Working closely with the Personal Care CSP Manager - support the day to day operational requirements of Personal Care categories.

  • Ownership of the Slow Moving & Obsolete (SLOB) product process to ensure right sized inventory.

  • Assist with the Brand/Customer interface.

  • Supporting in development & evaluation of Category tactics (ie. Promo, shelf, assortment, pricing).

Accountabilities

  • All NPD to be delivered on time and in full to customer and field teams.

  • Execution plans created for key brands/NPD launches aligned with the CSP and Customer teams – delivered on time and in full.

  • Execution plans to be delivered within assigned budgets.

  • Tracking of NPD/execution performance and learnings to be captured for all execution.

  • Constant drive for process improvement across key processes.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Experiences & Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of business experience, either in a customer or CSP/ Category Management role with a proven track record.

  • FMCG experience is desirable.
