As Category Manager, you will implement sourcing strategies in the Americas for defined Raw Material Categories. As an important member of the Global Procurement team, you'll negotiate, work with a variety of teams and matrix organizations to manage annual purchases for assigned portfolios. You will report to a Senior Category Manager at the Pittsburgh, PA office.
Responsibilities:

Implement global sourcing strategy in the Americas Region for your category that aligns with our needs, mitigates identified risks, and maximize value opportunities for PPG globally.

Negotiate with suppliers at regional levels to secure raw materials needed with advantageous terms for PPG.

Establish accurate forecasted raw material market movements and communicate movements with global category managers.

Build relationships with important suppliers and partners in Americas region.

Align and collaborate with PPG category managers to deliver savings and working capital targets to bring value to the bottom line.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or related field

5-7 years in chemical industry, petroleum, pharmaceutical, cosmetics or food industries.

Proven data analysis and critical thinking skills

Experience in change management
