Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), established in 2017 and based out of Singapore, operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group. We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units and beyond, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories. Functioning as one Global Procurement team across all Telenor markets, we enable Telenor’s strategic ambitions by becoming a centre of expertise in the pursuit of efficient operations. Main Tasks
- Contribute end to end (E2E) Category strategy development
- Perform analysis to support category strategy work
- Collaborate with user departments to reduce the procurement cycle time, improve compliance with policies and achieve targets
- Identify and realize cost saving initiatives that deliver value in the procurement of goods and services for the company
- Establish measures to assess progress against plans
- Prepare periodic reports on all procurement activities
- Participate in negotiations and ensure delivery targets are met by suppliers
- Maintain an awareness of latest buying techniques and theories and develop application within the company
- Implement category sourcing strategy and identify suitable suppliers
Profile
- Strong business knowledge in IT and software landscape
- Broad understanding of the vendor market and deep understanding of the Software and Security areas specifically
- Foresee business risks related to role, highlighting to leadership and work towards mitigating risks in best manner
- Strong analytical, systems thinking and problem solving capabilities; broad experience with common data processing tools, e.g. Excel or Tableau, eyes for details
- Possess good sourcing, commercial and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to communicate and interact effectively (verbal, presentation, facilitation & listening modes of communication) across organizational and cultural boundaries, internal and external
- Demonstrate commitment, maturity, flexibility and speed in response to challenges. Ability to work independently and able to cope with pressure
- Result oriented, demonstrating excellent collaboration abilities
- Highly creative and innovative mindset
- Knowledge of sourcing techniques and demand management & demand forecasting methods
- Familiar with contract setup activities such as specification definition, contract T&C setup
- Possess high level of integrity and ethics
Qualification and Experience Requirements
- More than 3 years in a senior procurement / contract management / software management role
- Experience in Management/Technology Consulting is preferred
- Bachelor Degree in Business Admin, Technology or equivalent. Master degree is preferred
