As the Castings Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Lead the development and execution of casting processes to ensure adherence to stringent aerospace quality standards.
- Conduct comprehensive sourcing inspections to verify material quality and ensure compliance with aerospace casting specifications.
- Define, implement, and track key production KPIs, such as defect rates, yield percentages, cycle times, and on-time delivery, to drive continuous improvement in casting operations.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with production goals and quality benchmarks.
- Perform root cause analysis on quality deviations and production inefficiencies, leading corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues and improve overall process reliability.
- Manage and report on quality-related metrics during monthly steering committee meetings, providing insights and progress updates to drive decision-making and accountability across teams.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in aerospace casting or related casting processes; preference given to candidates with expertise in aerospace industry standards.
- Expertise in sourcing inspections and ensuring materials meet aerospace-grade quality requirements.
- Proven track record in defining, implementing, and tracking production KPIs to monitor performance and drive improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
