Job Purpose:
BTIG seeks an Associate to join the Cash Equities Operations team. In this role, the ideal candidate will be supporting a broad range of cash equities business - PT, DMA and the High Touch desk, as well as handling account opening and trade life cycle processing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate between Operations, Sales, and Compliance teams to ensure timely and efficient onboarding of new clients
- Perform daily activities relating to client account opening, trade booking, reconciliation and ensure all daily activities and controls are completed on a timely manner
- Trade allocation and confirmation generation to clients
- Monitor and follow up unmatched trades and fail management
- Work closely with Finance team for client’s payments
- Participate in projects, change initiatives and office administration
- Drive the implementation of a front to back model to improve client experience and operational efficiency
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of experience in securities products, an operations background and client facing experience is preferred
- Understanding of the trade life cycle, including onboarding
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
- Self-motivated approach to work with a high work ethic and superior attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must work collaboratively, explain and challenge as appropriate
- Problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
