As a Capture Lead, you will work within the Adapt Forward business development capability team, contributing to related strategic plan development and execution. You will also provide specific leadership to the identification, market intelligence, corporate prosecution, capabilities introduction, and capture of key opportunities that align to and within this strategic plan.
Position Requirements and Duties
- Manage and support capture planning and execution across all business units.
- Participate in the entire business development process to include marketing and brand development, initial business development, targeted capture identification and execution, opportunity response (e.g., Requests for Information, Sources Sought Notices, RFPs/RFQs) and proposal submission efforts, and transition to post-award sustainment lead(s).
- Participate in and conduct persistent market intelligence, consistent with Adapt Forward strategic plan parameters; leverage and contribute to regular collaboration within relevant internal and external stakeholders. This includes, but is not limited to, prospective customer / markets, mission requirements, contract support forecast within a rolling x-3 year timeline, relevant industry partner / competition, engagement opportunities (e.g., industry day, customer facing meetings), workforce and other pricing data, and opportunity pipeline data updates.
- Help present Adapt Forward capabilities and extend our corporate brand in target geographies, markets, and customer domains.
- Develop and manage capture budgets and resource assignments.
- Contribute to specific business case development (i.e., basis as to why particular opportunities warrant greater capture development effort and resources; and resulting approach).
- Ensuring that each proposal incorporates themes, differentiators, proofs, and price to win strategies developed during the capture.
- Coordinate with the other functional organizations (HR, Contracts, Subcontracts, Financial) to ensure awareness, prioritization, milestones, peer-stakeholders (e.g., industry partner POCs), resource requirements and status pertaining to each capture initiative.
- Travel as required, as dictated by business need.
Minimum Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent years of directly relevant experience
- At least five years of related DoD business development and strategic capture experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting all phases of a large and multi-year capture effort, including strategic planning, teaming, proposals, market, or competitive and price-to-win.
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining relationships with small and large business industry partners and developing strong teaming strategies.
- Demonstrated experience identifying, qualifying, and winning business.
- Experience writing technical, management, past performance, and other proposal related content. Strong mastery of strategic capture with the ability to develop corresponding strong technical and management responses.
- Ability to coordinate and work across various corporate functional resource teams to develop a winning proposal, and transition to successful execution and sustainment.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD and other applicable Federal customer acquisition and budgeting constructs.
- Strong presentation and writing skills.
