General purpose:

Top provide advisement for User Experience Design (UXD) graduate students and to convey knowledge and guidance from a professional perspective over the course of the program. This position will lead group advisement sessions with students, which take place between their for-credit courses (approx. once every 8 weeks). During these sessions the capstone advisor will lead workshop-style activities and discussions designed to support students as they develop their capstone projects (approx. 2 hours/group session). The capstone advisor will also be available to mentor or meet with students occasionally outside of the advisement sessions (approx. 1 hour/week total). The capstone advisor serves students for the 15-month duration of the program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of User Experience Design (UXD) subject matter

Minimum qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field

  • Experience: 10+ years of related experience

  • Work environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
