Job Title: Capability Lead
Working Pattern: 37 hours days
Working location: Derby Raynesway
We are looking to recruit a Capability Lead to join the Capability Team at Rolls-Royce Submarines. You will be responsible for delivering training activities in support of a suitably qualified and competent workforce and providing advice and guidance on all aspects of training and competency on the CP nuclear licensed sites.

What you will be doing
As a Capability Lead, you will be responsible for supporting several business functions within Core Production nuclear licenced sites by delivering all aspects of a systematic approach to training and assuring a suitably qualified and competent workforce (to satisfy licence conditions LC9, LC10, LC12, LC36). You will provide subject matter expertise, advice and guidance in learning and demonstration of competence covering a range of nuclear business and technical roles.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis to determine fit for purpose learning solutions to support business performance improvement.
- Design and develop learning solutions using a wide range of methods and media to promote a proactive learning culture.
- Deliver classroom facilitated training within scope of responsibility, and coach/support the team of internal trainers to ensure they perform according to the training standards.
- Conduct assessment of learning and competency assessment within scope of responsibility.
- Engages with key stakeholders to plan and implement learning solutions for short/medium term requirements and respond to emergent work, including external training providers.
- Determine, measure, and evaluate training effectiveness and identify continuous improvement in processes and approach.
- Ensure robust governance by reviewing, maintaining, and auditing Capability Team processes, procedures and records to assure compliance by the team and users across the site.

- Higher education or professional certification in relevant subject matter or previous experience in related discipline.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of regulations, standards and guidance relevant to training and competency.
- Familiarisation of Licence Conditions (LC) 9 (Instructions to persons on site), 10 (Training), 12 (Duly authorised and other SQEP) and 36 (Organisational capability)
- Good communication, influencing, analysing and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to analyse data from various sources and produce detailed and accurate reports and records.
- Experience in using a document management systems tool (ideally Oracle Webcenter/Teamcenter) and the use of Microsoft Office tool set.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
