General Responsibilities:
Dexis is seeking experienced Operational and Technical consultants who can provide surge support to USAID’s Office of Transition Initiative (OTI) field programs for things like start-up, close-out, temporary coverage of key personnel, technical guidance, or programmatic or operational review, among other things.
Responsibilities:
- Serves in field-based operational or programmatic role on specific task orders including start-up or close-out support, temporary coverage, surge needs, or specific program support or technical assignments;
- Provides support to OTI task orders during surge needs;
- Ensures compliance with corporate and client regulations; positively liaises with support departments such as contracts, finance, and human resources to proactively manage risk and ensure adherence to regulations;
- Mentors other staff members to support their professional development and capacity to independently support, program, technical, or corporate needs; and,
- Provides technical advice and consultation to project management units, field offices, and new business teams.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience. Relevant experience entails working in complex, high-speed, and/or challenging field operations in developing countries. At least three (3) years of this experience shall include managing these field operations. Experience with a Contractor or international NGO managing an office or program.
- Demonstrated excellence in field-based technical support on OTI and/or other stabilization programs
- Experience in USAID field start-up or close-out
- Experienced in USAID’s policies and procedures in regard to human resources, financial management, financial reporting, and procurement processes, and grants management.
- Experience with grants or small grants under contract (GUC) programs.
- Proven communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints.
- Fluency in written and oral English required and professional working proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Arabic highly desired.
