Your function
As a Software Engineer, you work on the Vanderlande software package ESoT, which stands for Engineering Suite of Tools. This software provides Vanderlande engineers with the ability to draw and configure a Vanderlande system in 3D. It is currently used worldwide by more than 900 direct colleagues and is an important tool within project execution.
Under the guidance of a Software Architect, you work on new software tools, maintain existing software, and enhance it with new functionalities. You are responsible for designing, programming, and testing the software. The software is primarily written in C# and C++, utilizing technologies such as WPF, XAML, Azure, Await/Async, Linq, ProtoBuf, STL, and Boost. You are supported by experienced colleagues who are ready to assist. As a team, you work closely with internal clients and provide support.
Your Department
As a Software Engineer, you are part of a team of 25 people within the Applications department. This team makes existing applications available and develops and maintains various internal Windows applications used by more than 2000 colleagues. These colleagues work in multiple engineering disciplines such as layouting, mechanical, electromechanical, controls, and simulation. The project engineers use these tools to design and deliver transportation systems as efficiently as possible. The software team working on ESoT consists of 13 individuals.
Your profile
- Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science
- Speaks Dutch and/or English languages
- 3+ years of experience in C# and/or C++
- Curious, flexible, and proactive
- A team player with good communication skills
- Experience in developing software on Windows platforms

This position offers a competitive salary per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
