Job Responsibilities:
Summary:
The Buyer is responsible for managing the receiving, issuing and maintaining the accuracy of all Tool Crib inventory, including maintenance, PPE and other non-production items, in addition to general plant purchases. The Buyer will assist/work with various departments within LMV to support the master schedule by scheduling suppliers to meet customer demands in a timely and cost effective manner. In addition, this position will have a working knowledge of production, safety and quality aspects of the Tool Crib area. The Buyer will work with the Assistant Controller by following in all directives and will lead and direct the Tool Crib Coordinators.
Qualifications: (These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Employees will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently.)
Education and/or Experience:

• Two-year degree in Business Administration or Manufacturing related discipline.
• Computer experience, including spreadsheets and word processing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of maintenance and crib activities.
• Understands inventory strategies with the ability to apply inventory reduction concepts.
• Ability to work well with others and build positive relationships, with both internal and external contacts.
• Ability to prepare, read and interpret written reports, business correspondence, instruction procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as percentages and proportions.
• Ability to develop processes for effective operation of area.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to be self-directed.

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds.
