We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our procurement team. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, goods, and services to meet the company’s operational needs.
Additional Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
- Analyze market trends and assess supplier performance to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, terms and cost savings iniatives
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise
- Identify potential liabilities and risks in the procurement process and assist in developing strategies to mitigate them. This includes assessing supplier capabilities and identifying opportunities for improved pricing
- Coordinate with stakeholders to determine current and future product needs and align procurement strategies accordingly
- Obtain price quotes
- Maintain centralized database of upcoming contract renewals
- The scope of this role excludes natural gas supply and transportation procurement
Experience
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role
- 1-2 years’ experience in purchasing, sourcing and/or contract negotiations
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Basic understanding of contract terms and conditions
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data
- Solid understanding of contract negotiations
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field

Atlanta, GA or Gainesville, FL
Pay range is commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications, etc.

$79,440—$88,786 USD
