We are seeking a skilled and motivated Buyer-Planner to join our client's operations team in Runcorn. The role focuses on procurement, supply continuity, inventory management, and cost optimization within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Location: Runcorn, UK

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase goods, materials, and services in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Ensure continuous supply of required materials and proactively resolve potential supply issues.
  • Manage NPI shortages and quote components.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance.
  • Deliver reports, updates, and briefings as needed.
  • Lead standard operating procedures (SOP) and process improvements.
  • Handle customs-related queries.
  • Create KPI files and report to the customer.
  • Act as first-level escalation point for customer support.



Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2–3 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, independent, and customer-oriented.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with MRO components and customs practices is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Relevant qualification in Supply Chain or related field.
