Job Summary
Supply Chain manages all aspect of procurement for the entire corporation. We provide the opportunity to be a part of a diverse team that purchases a wide range of products and services including IT, specialized equipment, facilities services and engineering, design, and construction. As the Buyer - Direct Subcontract Administator III (Subcontracts Admin Staff III), you will provide your experience and understanding of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement of direct (under US Government Prime Contract) goods and services.
Work Model
This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA, offering a hybrid work model that combines 3 regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow.
What You'll Be Doing
- Administer strategic sourcing and procurement of direct goods and services for The Aerospace Corporation
- Have previous experience and a good working knowledge of subcontracting under FAR guidelines utilizing diverse contract types such as T&M, Cost Type, FFP etc.
- Evaluate and improve sourcing activities, analyzing current suppliers and cost
- Complete formal market analysis to investigate market behaviors, trends and influences on the category requirement
- Identify the best contract approach, pricing model, and category management governance
- Lead RFI's, RFP's, RFQs, RFS's, supplier/source selection, negotiation and awarding best value
- Evaluate current need, forecast product and services demands for assigned contracts
- Implement procedures to continuously evaluate suppliers, costs and deliverability
- Document the procurement package in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Administer and lead post-award supplier management/administration, including SRM, continuous improvement / transformation /innovation as required
What You Need to be Successful - Subcontracts Admin Staff III
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in direct procurement under US Government Prime Contract
- Strong experience subcontracting under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Demonstrated understanding and execution of the entire procurement cycle.
- Experience establishing/developing appropriately scaled SRM framework Project management skills to build, manage, and meet effective procurement schedules
- Financial acumen and analytical skills required to construct pricing strategies/exhibits, conduct bid evaluation, and justify pricing reasonableness
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- SAP experience
- Ability to talk through and explain procurement package documentation in accordance with FAR
- Aerospace industry experience
- Experience setting up strategic agreement related to direct categories (Long Term Agreements, Master Agreements, etc.)
- Procurement experience in research and development environment
- Fast pace procurement and subcontracting
We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
