Solve complex system and system-related problems, providing timely and accurate documentation and communication
Key Responsibilities
- Gather business information and incorporate information into project plans with project manager or lead.
- Provide timely update and accurate documents and communication to project team through life-cycle of change.
- Work on process improvements and complex projects in identifying business and system requirements, creating project and process specifications for new and/or enhanced systems and drive quantifiable results through facilitating interaction with the business unit.
- Support and solve a variety of complex system and system-related problems for the business unit and liaise with technology peers, as it relates to business requirements, technology, in addition to design, development or implement systems.
- Perform and/or support system administration tasks including but not limited to: - Change Management - Maintenance and Monitoring of the applications - Install and upgrading of software - Back-ups and archives - Configuration and troubleshooting - Maintain documentations (new user’s guide, policy and procedure documents, disaster recovery plans, administrative procedures, user access) - Help and educate users - Baselining and application capacity monitoring
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellent hands-on personal computer and organizational skills, Familiar with advanced features in MS Word, MS PPT Familiar with formulas and complex spreadsheets. Ability to write embedded formulas are essential. Exposure to VBA macro development within MS Excel
- Understanding of SQL and data sets Ability to write SQL queries and understand data retrieval, formatting, and integration. Ability to understand Database architecture concepts.
- Familiarity with Back and Middle Office technology.
- Solid analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, reach conclusions and take action.
- Ability to understand technology as it relates to business and may require product or system certifications.
- Ability to communicate technology related information clearly to different audiences and clearly detail implementation processes.
- Strong relationship within the department and across business functions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ years’ experience in the financial services industry
- Strong leadership competencies and execution skills by way of cross-collaboration and workflow facilitation with multiple internal business partners.
- Must be highly responsive and proactive in a fast-paced changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) is preferred, in absence of which PowerBI, Tableau, SSRS or any other reporting tool experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of Java, ETL, SQL, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server etc)
- Experience in Asset Management area.
- Implementation experience with financial services technology, preferably in a consultative role with an eye towards system design and integration.
