The Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) department at Novo Nordisk is one of the most diverse and collaborative groups within the organization. The Position
Performs multiple simple to moderately complex business-specific tasks in support of a department or a functional area. Supports the functional objectives of an assigned department or team by performing a variety of activities in support of their functional processes, programs, and/or services. The incumbent's work is not dependent on the department manager; rather, he/she typically spends the majority of their time on tasks which support the function, which may include assisting in the creation of basic reports and presentations, providing support for budgets and projects, and system reporting and processing.
Relationships
Requires frequent contact with individuals within own department as well as outside the organization, requiring some explanation or interpretation. Interacts with all levels within the organization. May interact externally with organizations and/or vendors.
Essential Functions
- Assists in the creation of basic reports and processes information as directed
- Follows-up on action items and activities in support of the department and/or function
- Gathers, compiles and verifies information from multiple sources
- Helps obtain resources necessary in order to execute events and programs
- May handle calendar management as needed
- May occasionally provide some administrative support to department or function or assist with overflow work from higher level administrative positions
- May perform a variety of routine office duties involving typing, invoicing, record and file maintenance, data entry, meeting/travel arrangements, planning and execution of either on or offsite department meetings, processing expense reports, department event planning (e.g. off sites, team building, group meetings), running reports, processing and vendor management as needed
- Performs basic analysis based on identified needs based on direction provided
- Provides support for budgets and projects
- Reviews, updates and uploads information to relevant systems
- Utilizes software and/or systems specific to the functional area to gather and generate basic reports, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations
- Works on basic departmental projects and updates stakeholders according to plan.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 2 years administrative or related experience required
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Has the ability to work under general supervision
- Requires a sound substantial understanding of general office routines and procedures
- Requires an understanding of new/emerging technologies such as on-line databases, intranet/internet, and computer software programs specific to the function
- Requires attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
