As a Recruiter at Block, you will manage full-cycle recruitment processes, collaborate with teams to understand hiring needs, source candidates diversely, and build scalable recruiting processes. The Role
NOTE: This role can be hired in either Australia or Japan
People are the driving force behind company success. As a Recruiter at Block, you will occupy a strategic function that enables growth and shapes our culture. You will partner with our growing international teams to identify unique talent and guide recruiting strategies across all departments. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing an exceptional candidate experience while serving as a strategic advisor to our teams. Reporting to the Head of Customer Operations hiring at Block, you will build relationships and collaborate with senior recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and team goals. Throughout the entire process, you will provide an unparalleled experience, while serving as an advisor to candidates and internal partners alike.
You Will

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, using data and insights to inform your strategy
  • Build influential relationships with hiring teams to understand hiring needs and team goals
  • Source active and passive candidates from a variety of sources and communities, focusing on a diversified top of funnel
  • Be a consultative advisor to the business, leading strategic discussions to build teams holistically
  • Partner with the broader recruiting team to build efficient and scalable recruiting processes


You Have

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese
  • Experience working with partners at all levels of an organisation
  • A solution oriented mindset - you see potential challenges as opportunities to learn and grow
  • Experience building sourcing strategies that go beyond LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Experience building effective, cohesive teams
