Business Management optimizes business performances by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.
As a Finance and Business Manager within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Philippines Corporate Center Operations, you will be tasked with guiding and supporting a team of over 3,000 employees. Your responsibilities will include business metrics reporting, workforce management, providing expert knowledge in asset management review and monitoring, and managing seating/capacity. You will also be expected to spearhead and promote performance improvements, productivity, and process efficiencies. As a part of Business Management, your role will be to optimize business performances by aiding in the execution of key initiatives. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to business analysis, presentation development, and project management. Project manage and deliver key work streams and tasks. Communicate effectively with key business partners to understand projects and drive next steps
- Propose enhancements to manual processes. Identify key business risks on the platform and drive resolution of mitigating controls
- Coordinate team activities and prepare materials for town halls, employee recognition, and strategy working sessions. Collect and maintain internal resources and documentation. Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes. Create policies and propose amendments to outdated policies. Drive local awareness and training via semi-annual roadshows, bootcamps and induction trainings
- Organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way, demonstrating strong design acumen and expertise in Excel and PowerPoint techniques. Gather data and publish reports and/or business communications
- Performs regular cleanup of working file and databases. Design and create data visualization framework for reports, scorecards and other collaterals. Be responsible for gathering, validating, interpreting and analyzing data, inclusive of resolving report gaps to provide recommendations, trend analysis and forecasting decisions
- Closely partner with recruitment and hiring managers in ensuring the following: hiring strategy is in place, any hiring concerns are being addressed, recruitment updates or notice are communicated to the overall CIB population and vice versa
- Act as back-up to Assets, Seats/Facilities SME, and Finance SME
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Graduate of any 4-year course
- Prior experience in Business Management and Reporting
- Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables), Tableau, Alteryx, and Graphic Design Software
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with different stakeholder groups and driving the agenda
- Proven experience delivering timely, high quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders. Attention to detail is a must with continuous focus on design excellence
- Excellent communication, organization and project management skills
- Can influence individuals to focus efforts towards a common goal
- Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in design decisions
- Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
