Excellent opportunity to be a part of the Securities Services Business Management team
As a Business Manager within Securities Services , you will be responsible for supporting the business heads from an end-to-end perspective, helping business heads to drive the business agenda across financials, Risk & control (including regulatory), people, and partnership. Furthermore business managers act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business. This role will focus on Strategy, Special Projects, and the Data Management product.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of business strategies and drive change by ensuring the delivery of business initiatives and projects, providing overall governance across multiple initiatives.
  • Provide analytics for business decisions and conduct analysis for P&L, including product and client profitability, to optimize business performance.
  • Lead the Annual Plan/Budget process in conjunction with Product Controllers and P&A, and conduct regular expense reviews to ensure targets are met.
  • Drive investment and productivity initiatives while ensuring compliance with expense policies.
  • Coordinate team activities and prepare materials for town halls, employee recognition, and strategy working sessions.
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis.
  • Partner with product and the controls office to remediate risk and control issues and assist with regulatory reform and reporting that impacts the business.
  • Provide financial and business data in support of regulatory requests and offer business overviews and updates for Product meetings with Regulators.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate business risks that could impair the ability to do business, and support New Business Initiatives and Change Management processes.
  • Support monthly/quarterly business reviews by analyzing and interpreting financial and operational information to identify and understand key trends within the business.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Commercial and Pricing to ensure profitability drivers for each product are understood and provide ad hoc/general business management support across the business .


Required Qualifications, capabilities, and skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or other related area.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Business Management or COO role within wholesale/corporate/investment banking
  • Strong Financial background (PnL Construct, Balance Sheet, RWA, Leverage, etc.)
  • Understanding of legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements for financial institutions
  • Understanding of Business information systems, processes, and governance.
  • Strategic with good business acumen.
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Structured and organized, strong project management skills.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Work experience in Securities Services Asset Servicing and Fund Administration
