Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and strategic role within the Business Management & Controls team, where you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of the organization.

The Business Management & Controls Associate role will partner closely with leadership across business lines, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Technology, Finance and Operations to enhance the control/governance environment tied to business performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, guidance, and strategic direction for governance processes across the firm (transactional approval, new business approval, expense management, etc.)
  • Lead/support ad hoc projects related to new business initiatives, infrastructure developments, and process enhancements.
  • Partner with the Corporate Secretary on transaction approval governance (Investment Committee, Underwriting Committee, etc.), including drafting minutes and tracking/completing follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on control design and implementation to mitigate operational risks and create efficiencies across the platform
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across business lines, as well enterprise solutions including Risk, Legal & Compliance, Technology, Finance, and Operations.

Qualification and Experience

  • Seeking an individual with a minimum of 3 plus years of financial services or consulting experience, i.e. COO/Business Management, Finance, or Controls
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in financial services
  • Possess strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working
  • Demonstrated confidence, maturity, and proactive nature
  • Eagerness to learn and take on responsibility
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

Base Salary Range

$100,000 - $130,000


The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
