Position Title:    Business Intelligence Manager, Standard Business

Reports To:        VP, Standard Business Industrial Markets AMN

Position Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for Business Intelligence including the deployment, monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement of the Standard Business Strategy (General Industry, Petrochemical-/Chemical, Building Services and Valve market, as well for the Sales-/Service Partner strategy). This role will focus  on the USA market; and Mexico and Canada, as needed. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, enthusiastic and an overall team player individual, with experience in strategic business management. This individual will maintain existing partner relationships, as well build strategic relationships and collaborate with the different stakeholders responsible for business development and sales growth. 

The Business Intelligence Manager is crucial for the success of the full Standard Business approach in North America. Creating transparency, improving efficiency, and the development and execution of continuous improvement ideas to support the path of business growth.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the Standard Business strategy and updates, as needed based on market changes, competitive landscape, and business performance, in alignment with the business growth strategy.
  • Collaborates with senior leaders and the Sales Directors for Standard Business to assign responsibilities for the different components of the strategy and establish KPIs among those responsible for completing the strategic actions.
  • Communicates, monitors, and reports progress of the Standard Business performance on a regular basis to the stakeholders in the KSB Group.
  • Collaborates with regional Marketing & Communications, Purchasing, and Operations to promote the Standard business in the USA, and within the region.
  • Plays a key role on strategic product placement. Collaborates with Product Management, Operations, and application engineering teams (RAC & LAC, TSS for Valves) across the KSB Group to assess the KSB product portfolio offering. Identifies gaps, needs and opportunities, and defines and implements action plans accordingly.
  • Responsible and main point of contact for strategic marketing, market research and market analysis for the Standard business.
  • Collaborate with the Standard Business Sales Team to identify and prioritize strategic key accounts (KSB Global Accounts, OEMs, and local Key/Corporate Accounts, Sales-/Service Partners).
  • Monitor status and performance of strategic accounts, produce reports, and suggest development and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate and support the Standard Business Sales Team, the Sales Channel Manager, and the VP of KSB SupremeServ North America to develop and establish the industrial distribution network (Manufacturer Representatives and Distributors).
  • Collaborate with the Director of Digital Business to ensure the participation on Standard Business in all new tools (e.g. customer suite) and distribution sales of KSB standard products.
  • Align with sales departments on reporting structure and support for monthly reporting.
  • Maintain accurate Master Data and support customer allocation and tracking for market areas and sub-segments.
  • Support the Hoshin Matrix Initiatives.
  • Comply with KSB Group and KSB, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Train and maintain up to date knowledge on the KSB product portfolio and customer applications available for the General Industry, Petrochemical-/Chemical, Building Services and Valve market.
  • Support internal Market Areas and Segments in KSB USA for Stocking, Localization, Go-to Market Concepts
  • Collaborate IT and Finance to assure accurate reporting and Master data Quality for our accounts.
  • Communicate with stakeholders through in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Attend business meetings and provide regional reports as planned, or on an as-needed basis.
  • Travel for in-person meetings, site visits and market events as needed.

  • Mechanical Aptitude – Ability to read and understand mechanical design drawings and specifications.

Education / Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in Industrial Pump Market.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering required.
