BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST
The primary purpose of this job is to support the sales reporting and analytic needs of the organization. This position will not only be responsible for generating and analyzing sales related data, but also creating and developing the queries, reports, dashboards, and visualizations in support of this activity. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into functional specifications, designing/developing Power BI reports, ETL activities, and training end users as required.
About the Job:

Technical Report Development: Responsible for all technical aspects of Power BI report development, maintenance, and deployment. Need to be able to understand the business and technical requirements provided and convert these into the appropriate functional specifications and Power BI dashboards/visualizations.
Identify data elements and source systems, working closely with IT on data sets
Design prototypes/develop necessary dashboard/visualizations
Be extensively proficient with DAX writing and functions
Perform initial data validation
Be extensively familiar with data modeling and various aspects of the data pipeline

Testing & Debugging: Responsible for validating the functionality and accuracy of the report, as well as adhering to LF standardizing polices and best practices for report building. Ensuring that bugs or errors with reports are fixed on a timely basis. Maintain proper documentation around releases and changes per protocol.

Power Apps, Automate, and other fabric Tools
Paginated reports, dashboards, and exporting reports per needs
Create thorough documentation for reports and processes
Process improvement
About You:
-
Graduate of any four-year course
-
Experience developing dashboards/visualizations (3 – 5 years preferred in a Microsoft Power BI environment)

Proficient/expert in efficient DAX writing
-
Solid understanding of different kinds of connections in Power BI (semantic models, data sets, etc)
-
Expert in performance optimizing and testing for improvement opportunities.

Understanding of third party tools (DAX studio, tabular editor, etc) a plus

Project Management experience preferred.

Must be analytical and detail oriented – High standards of accuracy and review is critical

Strong MS Office skills required (Excel/Access/Word)

Strong ability to learn and apply new concepts

Ability to manage projects autonomously and be a self-starter.

Fluent in data modeling concepts

Fluent in Spoken and Written English

Knowledge or Experience working in a Global / Multi-Functional Environment.
