Business Development Operations Manager


We're looking for an enthusiastic and analytical Business Development Operations Manager to join our team at Nexus. In this role, you'll drive strategic insights and partnerships to support the development of innovative solutions in verifiable computation and towards the launch of our Layer 1. You’ll collaborate with our top cryptographers, engineers, marketing, and business leaders to shape partnerships, explore market opportunities, and support our business strategies.

About Nexus 

Nexus is building a world supercomputer by leveraging the latest advancements in cryptography, engineering, and science. Our team of experts is developing and deploying the Nexus Layer 1, the Nexus Network, and Nexus zkVM in support of our mission to enable the Verifiable Internet.

Nexus raised $25M in Series A funding, co-led by Lightspeed and Pantera, with participation from Dragonfly, SV Angel and more. 

We are headquartered in San Francisco, and this role will be in-person, with the rest of the Nexus team.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner Driven Growth: Help to identify and cultivate key relationships with partners in the zero knowledge/Web3 and Web2 spaces and help drive ecosystem growth and adoption. 

  • Market Analysis and Execution: Analyze industry trends to identify growth opportunities and competitive positioning, and drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement through community growth, referral programs, content marketing, and campaigns.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product, marketing, and engineering teams to align growth strategies with product launches and ecosystem initiatives.

  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with marketing and community teams to grow and engage the Nexus community across platforms like Twitter, Discord, and Telegram.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2-4 years of experience in business development, growth, analyst or similar role, within the technology, blockchain, or management consulting services sectors.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and distill insights that drive strategic decisions.

  • Research Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in conducting industry and competitive research, using both qualitative and quantitative approaches.

  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate findings, prepare reports, and present insights to stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and projects.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Able to think critically, approach challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset, and offer innovative ideas.

Nice to haves:

  • MBA

  • Web3 Knowledge: Familiarity with zero knowledge, blockchain technology and ecosystems.

  • Crypto Tokenomics Exposure: Experience or understanding of tokenomics principles and economic modeling in blockchain.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel, SQL) and knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Investor Relations Support: Exposure to investor relations or experience in supporting investment processes and stakeholder communications.

  • Strategic Insights: Knowledge of market segmentation and competitive tracking, particularly in Web3; background in the energy, data center management or operation sector is a plus.

  • Passion for Innovation: A strong interest in the evolving Web3 ecosystem and its impact on traditional industries.
