We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand the reach of our renowned audio technologies through licensing partnerships under the "Sound by Bose" and "Powered by Bose" brands.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager, Audio Technology Licensing, will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing strategic licensing agreements with partners across various industries, including consumer electronics, and emerging technology sectors. This role will focus on driving revenue growth by leveraging Bose's cutting-edge audio technologies and brand equity to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership Development:
- Identify and qualify potential licensing partners aligned with Bose's strategic objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target companies.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Sales & Negotiation:
- Lead the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and qualification to contract negotiation and closing.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that showcase the value of Bose's audio technologies.
- Negotiate complex licensing agreements, ensuring favorable terms for Bose.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and ensure compliance.
- Brand Management & Collaboration:
- Act as a brand ambassador for "Sound by Bose" and "Powered by Bose," ensuring c
- onsistent messaging and brand representation.
- Work closely with product development, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of Bose technologies into partner products.
- Provide ongoing support to partners, ensuring successful implementation and market launch of licensed products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, preferably in B2B tech environment, or strategic partnerships, preferably in the audio, consumer electronics, or technology industry.
- Proven track record of successfully closing complex licensing agreements and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of audio technologies and the consumer electronics market.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with brand licensing.
- Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in licensing audio technologies or related intellectual property.
- Established network of contacts in the consumer electronics, automotive, or technology industry.
- Technical understanding of audio systems and signal processing.
