Mission and Goals:

Manage and influence retail business partners / key decision makers within outlets in a defined territory to grow Gen's market share by:

  • establishing and maintaining a high degree of rapport;

  • maximizing retail leverage;

  • representing Nortonlifelock in a positive and professional way;

  • focusing on teamwork

  • displaying a high degree of work ethic.

Objectives:

1. Ensure timely and efficient implementation of the approved Cycle plan by focusing on Call Coverage, Call Rate and Call Frequency:

  • Call Coverage – ensuring all nominated outlets in the defined territory are visited quarterly

  • Call Rate – achieving number of calls per day as nominated by your manager

  • Call Frequency – achieving nominated number of calls for each respective outlet

2. Follow the Time Utilisation guideline to plan weekly visits:

  • One day per week is allocated to administration tasks associated with the position

  • Four remaining days are to be spent infield

  • Daily working hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

  • There will be some instances of after-hour work requirements

3. Track and report on sales cycle visits on a weekly basis.

4. Manage Territory expenditure in line with allocated budget providing Gen with a competitive edge within the defined geography, ensuring cost-effective use of Gen resources to capitalize on opportunities.

5. Execute Key Account and Marketing objectives, capitalizing on growth opportunities by strong and effective representation across all channels. 

6. Establish and maintain high levels of rapport with key decision makers, effectively communicate Gen initiatives and securing the retailers’ support.  Effectively advise and guide the retailer’s salespeople on Norton products by providing group or one on one training sessions to enhance product knowledge.

7. Uphold corporate integrity and values while ensuring all activities comply with Gen policies and procedures.

8. Monitor and report on all relevant market information, including competitor intelligence, to improve the Company’s understanding of trade developments and provide greater awareness leading to the development of appropriate strategies.

9. Implementation of the above accountabilities to deliver quota achievements.

Competencies:

  • Completion of high school education preferred

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Management, Finance preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years Sales experience within IT, FMCG or Retail environment 

  • Communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)

  • Strong Numerical skills

  • Persuasion/Influencing and negotiation skills

  • Planning skills
