The Business Development Manager – Growth Initiatives plays a pivotal role in driving the early-stage customer and partner success for CEO-sponsored strategic initiatives. Operating within the Office of the CEO, this role focuses on new market entry, securing the first set of strategic customer wins, and building high-impact partnerships that help shape the long-term direction of Amagi’s innovation and business expansion.
This high-autonomy, high-impact role requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, technical fluency, customer empathy, and go-to-market execution capability. You will work at the leading edge of Amagi’s growth agenda, and your success will directly influence the company’s expansion into new domains.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Business Development Execution
- Develop and lead business development strategies to support new and emerging growth initiatives.
- Identify, engage, and convert early-adopter customers for beta products or new service offerings.
- Craft and communicate differentiated value propositions tailored to specific customer needs and market contexts.
2. Ecosystem & Partnership Development
- Build strategic partnerships with technology vendors, platforms, integrators, and ecosystem partners to complement internal capabilities.
- Structure joint solutions that bring together Amagi’s products with external offerings to address complex customer problems.
- Drive collaborative go-to-market engagements with selected partners.
3. Institutionalizing and Scaling Success
- Capture learnings from early engagements and translate them into repeatable sales playbooks, solution templates, and customer success stories.
- Work with internal stakeholders to document best practices, pricing models, and sales enablement materials.
- Facilitate a structured handoff to BAU teams (Sales, Product, Marketing) to support scale-up and long-term execution.
4. Strategic Advisory & Feedback Loops
- Act as a feedback conduit between early customers and internal Product and Engineering teams to refine product-market fit.
- Offer post-handoff consultation and support to Sales and Product teams to sustain momentum and institutionalize growth.
- Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to inform long-term direction.
Skills and Expertise Required:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or technology-driven solution selling
- Proven track record of delivering first strategic customer wins and scaling early-stage offerings into mainstream adoption
- Strong understanding of partner ecosystems, co-selling models, and complex value chains
- Ability to envision and shape product opportunities and turn ambiguous problems into structured go-to-market efforts
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing)
- Strong technical acumen and ability to converse fluently on product capabilities, architecture, and customer workflows
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Experience working in high-growth environments or with early-stage innovation teams is a strong plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
