We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Business Development Manager for Contract Logistics in the Eastern Mediterranean region (EME). In this role, you will identify and capitalize on business opportunities, support sales colleagues, and stay ahead of market trends to ensure profitable growth in our area.

This role can be based in Istanbul, Turkey or in Bucharest, Romania.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Initiatives: Drive and execute strategic contract logistics initiatives to meet annual budgeted revenues and volumes.
  • Opportunity Development: Identify and develop business opportunities, create business plans, and manage pipeline activities.
  • Pricing Coordination: Collaborate with pricing teams to ensure competitive and profitable pricing for opportunities.
  • Sales Support: Participate in RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, ensuring comprehensive and competitive proposals.
  • Growth Planning: Compile annual growth plan initiatives in cooperation with regional stakeholders.
  • Performance Monitoring: Ensure consistent delivery of budgeted GP and volume numbers by actively monitoring sales pipelines.
  • Contract Review: Ensure all contracts meet technical standards and requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a consultant to internal stakeholders, supporting sales and customer pursuits.
  • Market Expertise: Increase knowledge and awareness of contract logistics within the sales and internal teams.

Who We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong knowledge of the contract logistics industry, including market trends and customer needs. Preferably, you hold a degree in supply chain management or engineering, and you have extensive experience in a business development role.

  • Technical Acumen: Experience in selling and solutioning technical service offerings with a deep understanding of financial and pricing aspects.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage complex projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent skills in managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commercial Savvy: Understanding of commercial solution sales processes and experience in developing integrated solutions.
  • Collaborative Approach: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and verbal English.
