We are seeking a Business Development and Commercial Strategy Leader for our Print & Packaging company located in Anderson, SC who is ready to take a hands-on approach to lead our growth initiatives. This critical role requires a visionary with a robust background in strategic planning and execution within the flexible packaging industry. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, customer-facing leader who is highly adept in using technology to drive business outcomes.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement innovative business development strategies that include comprehensive market analysis and competitive landscape assessment.

  • Team Building: Build and lead a team dedicated to business development and commercial strategy, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Customer Relations: Enhance and expand customer relationships through strategic initiatives, ensuring our products meet the evolving demands of the market.

  • Product Development: Spearhead efforts to explore and seize opportunities for expanding our product lineup within the flexible packaging sector. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to recommend new products or services.

  • Networking: Utilize a wide network of industry contacts to establish strategic partnerships and identify new business opportunities.

  • Market Research: Conduct extensive market research to underpin strategic decisions and understand emerging customer needs and expansion opportunities.

  • Performance Tracking: Set up and oversee KPIs to measure and refine the effectiveness of business development strategies.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is highly preferred.

  • Proven leadership experience in business development within the flexible packaging or related industry, demonstrating significant growth achievements.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead by example.

  • Extensive network of industry contacts and a proven track record of leveraging relationships for strategic advantage.

  • Deep knowledge of market research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • High proficiency in technology, including ERP and CRM systems, as well as analytics tools.

  • Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving, with a focus on results.
