In this exciting role, you will work closely with our Business Development Executives, supporting the creation of high-quality proposals for development, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution. You'll play an essential part in ensuring proposals and change orders are delivered accurately and on time, meeting both customer needs and company standards. By collaborating with various internal teams, you'll help calculate detailed costings and ensure everything aligns perfectly. You'll also manage Smartsheets, assist with daily administration, and provide valuable support throughout the process. This role offers plenty of opportunities for growth and learning.
Main responsibilities:
Proposal and Change Order Management
- Draft and refine change orders, proposals, and revisions by incorporating scope and cost details from various departments.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather detailed information for proposals and change orders.
- Maintain and update Smartsheets to track enquiries, generate proposals, and administer opportunities.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Support client meetings to clarify expectations for proposals, change orders, and revisions.
- Serve as a liaison between Project Management and Business Development Managers to ensure seamless transitions of awarded proposals.
Collaboration and Communication
- Lead meetings and engage with internal teams and external customers to resolve issues related to proposals or change orders.
- Proactively ask questions, gather business process information, and collaborate positively with colleagues.
Process Optimization and Analysis
- Analyze Request-for-Quote (RFQ) strategies and provide technical insights to optimize client proposal development.
- Attend Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) meetings to support the enquiry and proposal management process.
- Embrace a continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes and responsibilities.
Task and Time Management
- Manage and prioritize daily tasks to ensure timely completion of all responsibilities.
- Take responsibility for managing Smartsheets, overseeing daily activities such as general administration and providing ongoing support.
- Work independently under the supervision of the department head to execute key responsibilities and tasks.
- Undertake additional tasks and manage internal or ad hoc projects as needed to align with department and business goals.
Technical and Administrative Proficiency
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word.
- Adhere to all PCI cGMP and GCP policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Travel and Flexibility
- Travel occasionally to support Business Development activities and events as required.
Work Experience & Skills Required
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in the technical aspects of drug development or within a pharmaceutical service provider environment.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical development processes relevant to PCI’s operations.
- Proficiency in college-level mathematics.
- Full professional proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking accurately at a professional level.
- Intermediate reasoning skills, including the ability to interpret written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
