The role
As a Business Controller at GoodHabitz, you provide essential financial insights and support to our Tech and Product departments. Your role is all about ensuring transparency in financial operations and helping stakeholders make informed decisions. You’ll play a key part in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, offering structured analysis and guidance to optimize financial performance. By enhancing reporting and control mechanisms, you contribute to the smooth execution of our company strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis – Support FP&A processes for Tech and Product, assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Business Partnering – Work closely with budget holders, the Executive Leadership Team (CTO, CPO), and teams across Finance, HR, and Legal to provide financial insights and guidance.
- Strategic Insights – Identify opportunities and risks, translating financial data into clear, valuable management information.
- Process Improvement – Enhance reporting structures, implement control mechanisms, and streamline financial processes to support decision-making.
- Ad-hoc Analyses – Conduct deep-dives into financial and operational challenges, providing data-driven recommendations.
- A financial expert with an HBO/WO degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Controlling.
- 5+ years of work experience in finance, ideally in business control.
- A strong communicator who can challenge stakeholders and connect with all layers of the organization.
- A proactive problem-solver with business acumen, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with ERP and BI tooling (preferred) and strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of SaaS, R&D, or Tech environments is a plus.
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a big plus.
