ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Consultant with expertise in Regulatory Advisory. The role involves providing expert guidance on regulatory frameworks such as PSD3 and payments-related regulations, ensuring clients meet industry compliance standards. You will work on regulatory advisory and implementation projects, collaborate with internal and client-side teams, and independently manage workstreams. A key focus will be on designing and implementing strategies to align business objectives with regulatory requirements. Strong communication, documentation, and project management skills are essential, as you will regularly interact with senior stakeholders and develop comprehensive reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Regulatory Services: Act as a consultant on regulatory advisory and implementation projects, including PSD3, providing expert guidance on regulatory frameworks, compliance, and best practices to ensure clients meet industry standards.
- Project Involvement: Participate in regulatory advisory and implementation projects related to payments, open finance, as well as others, ensuring client’s proper compliance with evolving regulations and standards.
- Client Communication: Work closely with client stakeholders, including managers and directors, to clearly communicate complex regulatory information, offering solutions in a succinct and accessible manner.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate with both internal teams and client-side teams to achieve project goals, ensuring open communication and alignment.
- Independent Work: Independently organize and manage workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of the project, including gap analysis, reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Strategy Development: Design and implement strategies related to regulatory compliance and advisory services, aligning with both client business objectives and regulatory requirements.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Financial Services: At least 3-5 years of experience working in financial services sector or as an advisor to this industry (management consulting or law). Familiarity with PSD2/PSD3, other relevant regulations, open banking or payments is a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of legal concepts related to financial sector regulations, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new regulatory developments, as well as interpret regulatory requirements, translating them into practical advice for clients.
- Communication Skills: Proven ability to convey complex regulatory concepts in a clear, concise manner to a variety of stakeholders.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively in teams, as well as engaging directly with clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Independence and Organization: Ability to work independently and organize your workload effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Proactive mindset: for identifying and solving potential issues before they escalate, as well as finding opportunities for the client.
- Synthetic thinking: skills that help prioritize tasks, and develop strategies for the client.
- Excel and PowerPoint Proficiency: Strong skills in using Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for delivering high-quality presentations.
- Fluency in English: strong communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to interpret legal texts and communicate with various project stakeholders.
