Position Purpose:
The Business Analyst will serve as a key role supporting the Home Depot Pro strategic growth initiatives. As part of the team, the Business Analyst will be responsible for owning individual projects and team initiatives that involve conducting research, using independent judgement, identifying potential opportunities for growth, providing and analyzing quality data, test, learn and refine recommendations and effectively communicate and present within expectations of project timelines. This role will work in a cross-functional environment supporting respective workstreams and leadership to meet business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:

10% Plan and lead all phases of a project's life cycle (i.e. feasibility, design implementation, evaluation); this includes extracting the business need; defining the business requirements, understanding the impact on the business, and designing and carrying out the project(s)

20% Serve as liaison between merchandising and finance by facilitating meetings including both departments

5% Mentor other analysts in developing/honing business knowledge and analytical skills

20% Serve as a subject matter expert and perform research and/or analysis within assigned projects

25% Multi-task to work on 2 to 4 projects simultaneously, recommending process improvements and making final project recommendations which impact the business

20% Establish and report on metrics of assigned projects to gauge business value
Direct Manager/Direct Reports: This role reports to the HDQC Manager, Supplier Operations This position has no direct reports.
Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
