Position Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven and analytical Business Analyst to join the team at Morse Micro. The ideal candidate is a technology enthusiast with a strong ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business objectives. This role involves driving data-driven decisions, analyzing the landscape for government grants and other funding opportunities, and providing valuable support to the operations, legal, and funding teams across various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis & Strategy:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements, translating them into actionable insights and strategies.
- Support the rollout and management of Objectives and Key Results across the organisation to measure business success, strategy execution and identify areas for improvement.
- Create and analyze business cases to support each key decisions.
- Process Optimization and Support:
- Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements.
- Support the development of automated tools and workflows to optimize business operations.
- Work closely with R&D teams, finance, legal and funding/grants teams to support the preparation of lodgment of funding and grants applications and support the execution of other projects.
- Ensure projects are aligned with company OKRs, budgets, and timelines.
- Track and report project progress, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, and analyze data to provide actionable insights for decision-making and prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
- Monitor trends and provide forecasts to anticipate business needs and opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or Technology.
- 3+ years of experience in technology, management, data analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and propose actionable solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Googlesheets) and familiarity with project management software.
- Some experience with programming languages or tools (e.g., SQL, Python) for data manipulation and analysis.
- ‘Can do’ startup attitude, being able to step in to support projects and activities when required and being comfortable and adaptable in a dynamic environment .
- Experience in the tech or semiconductor industry is a plus.
