Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As a Business Analyst, you will act as the conduit between Technology, cross-functional Business teams and 3rd party system vendors to deliver best-in-class solutions for our Supply Chain Traceability and Transparency programs.

You will lead our team in defining requirements to support new system implementation projects by eliciting and analyzing requirements, liaising between business and technical resources, and documenting business processes and/or systems and their integrations.

You are a critical thinker who enjoys diving into the details and seeks to understand the “how” and “why”.  You are able to work in a changing and evolving environment with a bias towards action to drive projects forward.

Meet your future team:

The Merchandising and Product Technology team is responsible for the enterprise-wide technology solutions that support our business partners in Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and Supply Chain (including Sourcing, Compliance, and Sustainability).

You will join a small but impactful squad, dedicated to exploring and implementing new solutions that directly support Arc’teryx’s circularity and sustainability strategy. Our team collaborates closely with Sourcing, Compliance, and Sustainability teams, serving as their primary technology partner.

If you were the Business Analyst now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Leading the discovery phase of our Supply Chain Traceability and Transparency program by gathering functional and technical requirements for new systems and its integrations
  • Supporting the implementation of our Supply Chain Traceability and Transparency systems/platforms by consulting with stakeholders, acting as a key liaison with system vendors, facilitating change management, and leading the coordination and communication of project plans and ongoing status updates
  • Building strong relationships with several cross-functional teams within the technology department and across the business to collaborate efficiently and effectively
  • Translating business requirements into detailed and actionable specifications
  • Creating clear visual representations to communicate complex concepts and models for various target audiences
  • Documenting detailed user stories, process flows, systems diagrams, and acceptance criteria for business process review, systems architecture, systems development, data integrations and quality assurance
  • Organizing and facilitating user acceptance testing with business users
  • Supporting the testing and validation of system implementation and changes to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver the desired user outcomes
  • Maintaining process and system documentation as business and systems evolve

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Identifying and documenting current and future business process, changes and improvements to facilitate change management
  • Consulting the Supply Chain business teams in system enhancements and future technologies
  • Assisting the Technology leadership team with other tasks and projects as required

Are you our next Business Analyst?

  • You have 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on business enterprise applications and business processes such as supply chain, sourcing and sustainability
  • You have experience implementing SaaS solutions and integrating system and data between PLM, ERP and other operational systems, including working with software vendors
  • You have some Apparel and/or Retail experience
  • You are proficient in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • You are skilled in using business analysis tools and software such as Jira and Confluence
  • You have excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels.  You can explain, articulate and document concepts, business processes, systems and requirements clearly and efficiently
  • You are detail-oriented with strong organization skills
  • You can prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight timelines
  • You can work independently with a bias towards action to drive projects forward
  • You are a critical thinker who enjoys diving into the details and understanding the “how” and “why”
  • You can quickly absorb new and different types of information, adapt existing knowledge, and thrive in a changing environment
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with a commitment to do what is right
  • You are eager to learn and thoroughly investigate problems until uncovering what truly matters
